Alan J. Baughman, DMD, MBA
Dr. Baughman was born and raised in the small town of Lucasville, Ohio. At a young age, he knew that he wanted to pursue a career in dentistry because it overlapped with his interest in the arts and sciences, and he had an inherent desire to choose a profession that helps others.
Dr. Baughman attended Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He went on to study Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from dental school, he served as a Captain and Dentist in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Ansbach, Germany for all four years of his service, which is where he met and married his wife, Eva.
A family trip several years ago initially brought Dr. Baughman to Colorado. The natural beauty of all the different landscapes Colorado features left an impression on him. Years later, as Dr. Baughman was separating from the Army, he and Eva decided Northern Colorado was the place for them to settle. Soon after moving from Germany, Dr. Baughman opened Clearwater Dentistry to provide the outstanding, patient-centered clinical care and service he believes patients deserve. Although Dr. Baughman has a passion for dentistry and treating patients, he finds time away from the office with Eva, family members, and friends to hike, bike, snowboard, camp, and explore the natural beauty of Colorado.

Michelle
Registered Dental Hygienist
Michelle was born and raised on Kodiak Island, Alaska until she left to attend college in Idaho, and then finally settled in Colorado in 2012. Michelle always knew she would pursue a career that was focused on helping people, and went on to receive her Dental Hygiene degree from Laramie County Community College in spring of 2018. She worked for several years in Windsor before joining our team recently in November 2021. Michelle, her husband Tally, 2 year old daughter Madeline and their dog Bentley, have recently welcomed a new addition to their family with the birth of their second baby girl Leia in August 2021. In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping, and a good craft beer. Michelle believes that education is extremely valuable, and enrolls in continuing education courses every year in order to provide her patients with the best evidence-based care.
Haley
Registered Dental Hygienist
Haley is a Colorado native. She began her dental career as a dental assistant in 2015. In that time Haley loved getting to know patients while helping create happier and healthier smiles. Working as a dental assistant led her to further her education and pursue a career in dental hygiene. She graduated from Concorde Career College with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2022. Outside of work, Haley and her fiancé Alex, have a Great Dane named Bentley. In her free time, Haley enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, paddle boarding, and taking her dog on adventures.
Deneen
Dental Assistant
Deneen was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado and has been working in dentistry for over 3 years. She finds joy in improving people’s smiles and making them feel more confident. In her free time, Deneen enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and her two huskies Luna and Onyx. Deneen loves to dance and laugh, so you may catch her sneaking in some dance moves when she thinks nobody is watching.

Erika
Financial and Insurance Coordinator
Erika is a Colorado native and has more than 20 years experience in healthcare. She specializes in patient care coordination, insurance and eligibility verification, billing, and providing outstanding personalized customer service. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, jet-skiing, and raising her backyard chickens. Erika is currently pursuing a degree in library sciences.
Eva
Patient Care Coordinator
Eva was born in Romania, but was raised in Germany. It was there that she met her husband, Dr. Alan Baughman, while he was stationed in Ansbach, Germany during military service in 2016. She had a career in strategy and management for two of Germany’s largest grocery and pharmaceutical retailers. Together, they moved to Northern Colorado and opened Clearwater Dentistry in February 2020. Eva helps with operations, patient care coordination, and chair-side dental assisting. She finds immense joy in helping others by providing great care and personalized experience for each patient. In her spare time, she enjoys styling hair, cooking, being outdoors, and art projects.
